New Students - Start Here!

We are excited that you have chosen to pursue an online degree in physics. All newly admitted ASU Online physics majors will receive a welcome email from the Department of Physics within 72 hours of being officially admitted to ASU. The welcome email will provide students information on completing our pre-advising canvas course. Completion of the pre-advising canvas course is required before you are able to meet with an physics academic advisor.

Second Language Requirement

The second language course requirement may be fulfilled in one of the following ways:

- Completion (C or better on 4.0 grade scale) of second-language coursework at the intermediate level (202 or equivalent).

- Foreign language course at the 300 level or higher taught in the foreign language and having 202 or its equivalent as a prerequisite.

- Submitting transcripts that demonstrate completion of secondary education at a school in which the language of instruction is not English.
