Advising
Meet with your advisors to ensure you stay on track academically. Our physics advisors are dedicated to helping you navigate your college experience, from course selection to department procedures. Walk-in advising is also available for your convenience.

Placement and Testing
We offer a variety of testing services for current and prospective students who want to determine placement or showcase proficiency and receive credit for physics courses. Course overrides may be another option to suit your individual needs.

We also offer tutoring, study groups, instructional resources, instrument shops, information technology support and additional services to help our students excel in their academic careers.

  • Student Success Center – If you need additional support and tutoring outside of the classroom, we encourage you to visit the physics student success center.
  • Physics Instructional Resource Team – Explore various lecture demonstrations and media collection catalogs from PIRT, an organization focused on excellence in physics education.
  • Outreach – In our physics department, you’ll have access to various outreach opportunities to help enrich your college experience at ASU.
  • IT Support – If you need to submit a request for IT support, our physics helpdesk is always available by email and phone.
  • Instrument Shops – The physics department is home to a full-service mechanical instrument shop and a fully equipped student machine shop.
